Sumo is a sport that victory or defeat is clear. Therefore, children can learn the joy of winning, the vexation of losing, how to be thoughtful to the others and importance of politeness through sumo wrestling. In addition, through hard practicing for the national tournament, we try to cultivate children's ability of making efforts and enduring hardship and try to make them broad-minded. We continue to hold the tournament every year hoping to give more children a chance to join it.
